Development & Projects Around The County
The Largo Town Center is one of three downtowns designated by Plan 2035, Prince George’s County’s approved general plan. The downtowns are areas best positioned for future mixed-use development. These areas already have established transit systems and are walkable, making them prime locations for development that is based around transit.

I-495 at Medical Center Drive Interchange Improvement Project
This project is currently in the planning phase.
The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) has initiated the I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) at Medical Center Drive Interchange project. The goals of the project are to address existing congestion and accommodate increasing traffic volumes associated with future growth, as well as to improve pedestrian and bicycle connectivity. The planning study follows a process that complies with the requirement of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as well as other laws, regulations and executive orders required for projects that anticipate the receipt of federal funds.
